Alright, admittedly, anyone who’s ever seen a picture of me will be aware that I’m quite a chunky person. I’ve always been pretty big, but recently I’ve gotten to a point where I’ve decided that I’ve had enough of it. Whilst I could be like everyone else, by heading to a gym and just working out non-stop for ages, I figured I’d want to start it off a bit simpler – Get myself back into the spirit of good health. Naturally, food becomes a part of a health kick, but overall, I wanted to make sure I wouldn’t get bored. This is my routine – and how you can kickstart your own health spree – If you’re looking to lose a few pounds!
The enemies are approaching; They’re charging at great haste. Their swords are drawn and their casters are primed and ready. The archers have their arrows drawn – We’re surrounded. Send the soldiers to the front of the lines, we need to show them the best offense is a great defence – We’re going to put our shields up this week, as we check out our Top 10 Shields – We could do with the protection!
Whilst SummerSlam has been long gone now, a lot of people will still be catching up with all of the results. So, now that we’re five days removed from the event, I figured it’d be safe enough to start chatting about it. Monster is a word that is often left for the goliaths and the behemoths; a word that can incite fear in even the bravest of soul. But, whether or not you believe in monsters, in storytelling, a monster can be more than just a beast. It can be something very human indeed – and in fact, in this article, I’m going to look at a fantastic story being told in the realm of professional wrestling right now: Braun Strowman. Yes, there will be talk of wrestling, but we’ll focus this article on the storytelling aspect behind it. Trust me – There’s a lot we can learn here.
Blood is thicker than water, but to be honest there’s no circumstance in which being thicker is better… except in sandwiches, and we all know that blood doesn’t keep us from conflict. In fact fighting in a family is often more brutal than a standard grudge match, there’s always history, and the feelings get hurt long before the bruises show.
So far as storytelling goes there’s rarely more bitter rivals, or more hated nemeses than a parent or sibling. Join us as we take a look at games, films, television, literature and more to find the Top 10 Family Feuds.
WARNING: Before you read this article, there’s a chance for spoilers in My Hero Academia and WWE. The events being spoiled happened a bit under 2 weeks ago – You have been warned. If that doesn’t put you off, read on!
As a fan of My Hero Academia, I find myself often sat forward, wondering what’s going to happen next. It’s a series that plays well on the tired tropes of tournaments and succeeding someone in power. Also, as a fan of pro wrestling, the last big pay-per-view had a massive main event, where only a handful of people correctly guessed the outcome. Surprises are welcome in all media, but when does this become less of a surprise and more of a bad taste in the mouth? By analysing a few light spoilers, we’ll hopefully learn more.
