Anime Review: That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime

Magical worlds and video game elements combined, it’s one of a plethora of the video game anime genre. However, just because there have now been a lot of them, don’t let that distract you from what separates this one from the others. When our protagonist is killed in episode 1, he is reincarnated on another world as a slime, who gets named Rimuru Tempest. Read on to find out more about Rimuru, as well as how this series does a pretty clever job getting around something we like to call plot armour.

Anime Review: Goblin Slayer

With a name like Goblin Slayer, you’d expect this to be a relatively simple little anime. You know, you have a protagonist who goes around and slays some little green-skinned humanoid creatures, which fight in packs – Sounds about right? Well, that’s exactly what you get… Except, when you think of the term “Goblin Slayer”, you expect some early level stuff in an RPG. You think of a protagonist killing creatures and getting a lot of gold for it. Again, you get just that and a lot more in Goblin Slayer. Anime Review: Overlord

Ever feel like you’re living in a video game? Well Lord Momonga certainly does; a powerful lich who has been trapped in a virtual world, with no-one around except for NPCs who have come to life; He just wants to get to the bottom of why he’s stuck in this world. From level differences and HUD interface features, along with dungeons & dragons dynamics, Overlord is a wonderful telling of the trapped-in video game subgenre of anime. Does this series have a life of its own, or does it fall flat next to more established anime of its kind?
