I am a curious soul and one that is not afraid to head out of my comfort zone to experience something, so when I read about an analogue gaming convention way up in Harrogate (Yorkshire) called AireCon, my curiosity was drawn. Okay, it’s a long way to go from Bristol but we here at GeekOut are dedicated to bringing you as much geeky news as possible, so it is my plan to travel four hours across the UK, so that I can bring back news and a report about what happens at AireCon. Without any further delay, here’s what we already know:
Itching for something truly geeky to do this coming March? If so, you may be pleased to hear that Bristol is about to become even more geeky, so if you’re from the South-West of England, now’s the time for you to get your cosplays planned! Bristol Comicon and Gaming Festival is coming to the City Academy Sports Centre soon. But hold your horses there folks – You don’t even know anything about this event yet! Buckle up and read on:
WARNING: Gosh, this is another big gallery post..!
This is the last big post on Kitacon Quest, however this was a good excuse to show off all the random pictures we took at the event. So, thank you everyone for reading through our weeks worth of Kitacon content – We hope you’ve enjoyed it as much as we have. Seriously, we love Kitacon – We go back every time it’s on and whilst there may be the occasional hiccup, the people behind the event pour their hearts into the event… and it shows. So, come and have a look at a few more images I took of the amazing Kitacon Quest 2017!
For years, GeekOut South-West has boldly gone where many other geeks have gone before; to the biggest party event of the summer in all of the UK geek scene, it can only be Kitacon! They’re back and we’ve been having a damn good time. Next week, we’ll be sharing our galleries of images (and hoo boy, there’s a LOT of images), so stay tuned… But for now, check out what we’ve been up to since Friday.
With our last GeekOut Bristol Meetup for 2015 on the way, I thought it’d be nice to have a quick look back at the year in GeekOut meetups. In this post, I share some of my personal favourite images of the meetups, as well as talk about how the events have gone so far this year and what I’m aiming to do next year.
