By way of varying circumstances, these characters are all uniquely complex. They are all the protagonists of their stories, letting you follow them and their journeys. They may not always fight for the right reasons, but this is precisely why we love them. They represent a mixed bag of philosophies, fighting styles, thought patterns and more. Today, we’re celebrating our Top 10 Complex Protagonists. (more…)

Mathematically speaking of course, there is no reason whatsoever to believe that twins are double the trouble. Indeed evidence suggests that trouble may rise exponentially with twins than with standard siblings or any other unrelated double act. No concern of ours whether identical or otherwise, we have assembled twins of all manner and kind from across geek culture and crammed them uncomfortably into this double-stuffed Top 10.

Rule #1: Do not act incautiously when confronted by bald, wrinkly, smiling men.
This rule applies to all elderly people who smile knowingly in the face of danger. It’s always worth listening to walking sticks to check for hidden swords, or observe hairpins for potential weaponization. Are those slippers for shambling slowly to the bathroom, or for whupping young whipper snappers into shape? Do they still have their own teeth? Either way it’s bad news.

Ah yes, the simple eyepatch. It’s not always the most fashionable thing to wear, but for some people it acts as a nice aid to stop them from enduring intense pain. For others, it prevents them from remembering how they got their horrific accident in the first place. Or it just makes you a bit of an awesome looking pirate. Regardless how these characters got their patches, they deserved to make the list.

Honestly, you guys pick some of the most random topics for us to talk about. This week, we felt absolutely boxed in by your decision, as we’ve been given the gift of boxes to write a Top 10 about. But let’s be frank here. A box is not just a solid mass that’s in the shape of a cube (Sorry Companion Cube). No, a box must be able to have things inside of it in some capacity. That changes our scope from the get go.
Ah, we can’t contain ourselves any more. This list cannot be held any longer, it’s time for this weeks Top 10!
