You may be wondering how much content genuinely has been made by fans that we wanted to make a list about and the truth is – There’s a lot. We could get specific by saying best “fanart”, or best “fanfic”, or even best “fan made game”… But the truth is, there’s a lot of great content out there by crazy talented individuals. This week, we dedicate it to the fans who make their mark on the world, by taking something they enjoy and running wild with it.
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, it’s been a long time coming but roll up for the first ever GeekOut podcast! A crazy compilation of silly discussions on a random subject for the week. For this week, we decided to discuss Indie Games and how they have come from the Hobbyist scene. We speak about the modding community and how it has been instrumental in the development of new and exciting indie developers.
Huge thanks to Andrew from Just PC Things for taking part in our inaugural podcast. We hope to hold more of these, as we had a lot of fun just talking about a subject we were all interested in. Apologies for the sudden drop in quality halfway through the podcast – This is due to the fact that I had to move from my PC to my laptop. So, protip number one for all of you who want to get involved with podcasting: Get a good microphone. Shocking, isn’t it?
