Friends, I am afraid there has been a blight upon this land, so evil it is that we cannot imagine how to deal with it. This is why I have called you all here once more, to assist us in vanquishing the villainous warlocks and sorcerers, the fallen knights and their undead companions. Join us, for we have a tale for you. A tale of heroics unlike ever seen before will unfold. We’re going Castle Crashing!
Kitacon Quest was a blast; from excellent panels to great friends – and oh so much to drink! But still, as always, we didn’t go there just to have a good time. We wanted to make sure you guys all got to see something great from the event – With the tickets selling out so fast, I thought I’d focus on the things I enjoyed the most out of the event. Brace yourselves, because this is going to be another big post; as well as two videos!
The months come and go, as yet another amazing GeekOut Bristol Meet has swung by. We’ve finished for yet another day, which means that once more, we’re going back to have our Elevenses back at The Shire. But as always, this means we’ve got plenty of stories to share with all of you! Later down the line, we’ll take pictures of the stories that we’ve brought back home with us, but for now, here’s a look at how the event went down and what we got people to do. Plus, it’s always fun having a gallery and getting people to stand and smile for the camera!
They came, they saw and there weren’t many waifuus around. There was some amazing cosplayers, some excellent fandubbing and all in all, it was another successful GeekOut Bristol Meet. With a little over 60 people who came and went through the whole night, it was a great way for us all to get out there, to play lots of board games including a new one. Of course, Quiplash came out for another lot of laughs and boom – You guessed it – I ordered a projector, I set it up the night before, quietly confident and it failed. Nevermind, I’m going to get the correct adapter next time. But in the mean time, what were the highs and the lows of the night?

Recently, I was invited to see the office of CrownRoot Publications, who we wrote about a while back here on GeekOut. It’s been a long time since we checked up on them, so after chatting to the organiser of the company, Vincent, I went down to his office and got to understand what the company is all about. Join Timlah as we look at CrownRoot Publications and what they’re hoping to do for the UK manga scene.
We’re home from Kitacon Karnival 2016, a convention that was very SAFE. More on that as we go on, but because we’re just back from our weekend, it’s time for us to share with you some of the images of Kitacon. We meet up with familiar faces, met plenty of new friends, swapped details with many people and found that a lot of people there read our site! We love you Kitacon; we’ll be back next year. Join Timlah through our look through Kitacon 2016.
