The months come and go, as yet another amazing GeekOut Bristol Meet has swung by. We’ve finished for yet another day, which means that once more, we’re going back to have our Elevenses back at The Shire. But as always, this means we’ve got plenty of stories to share with all of you! Later down the line, we’ll take pictures of the stories that we’ve brought back home with us, but for now, here’s a look at how the event went down and what we got people to do. Plus, it’s always fun having a gallery and getting people to stand and smile for the camera!
The problem with an addiction is that it’s hard to admit it – Although let’s be honest, if you’re addicted to video games then you’re probably doing alright! We once again got our behinds to the Old Market Tavern, where we met up for some food and drink, board games and video games, as well as comics and books and so much more. People were chatting all night long and we got a nice number of attendees once more. As always though, we’re here to show you what happened throughout the night and to give you a bit of insider knowledge about next months event. Interested in what we did? Read on!
It’s that time of the month once again, when GeekOut Bristol takes to the streets… No we don’t. We get to the pub and we enjoy drinks, board games, video games, comics and books, stories, tech and so much more. But what do we have planned this month? What makes this one so special, that you really shouldn’t miss this event? As always, we’ll look at what’s coming up this Friday at our seriously cool GeekOut Bristol Meet.
Ah yes, once more we went back to the Old Market Tavern and we held our monthly GeekOut Bristol Meet. It was a quieter affair than usual, with approximately 50 people turning up for our event, however the event went off without a hitch. We had a rather good quiz and I got thoroughly out-geeked by the contestants! This is what went down at this months GeekOut Bristol Meet and information about July’s event!
We’re back once again for another month of fun and games, at our usual haunt. However, this time around we’re going to be on the back of the great A’Tuin, upon which stands four enormous elephants. Yes, we’re celebrating the life and literature of Sir Terry Pratchett. So bring along your sapient pearwood Luggage, don’t forget your Wizzard hat and let’s get our fantasy on. But of course, if you’re not a fan of Terry Pratchett, don’t worry, it’s still the same GeekOut Bristol Meet you know and love! But this months competition requires quite a bit of detective work.

They came, they saw and there weren’t many waifuus around. There was some amazing cosplayers, some excellent fandubbing and all in all, it was another successful GeekOut Bristol Meet. With a little over 60 people who came and went through the whole night, it was a great way for us all to get out there, to play lots of board games including a new one. Of course, Quiplash came out for another lot of laughs and boom – You guessed it – I ordered a projector, I set it up the night before, quietly confident and it failed. Nevermind, I’m going to get the correct adapter next time. But in the mean time, what were the highs and the lows of the night?
