GeekOut Plays Stonekeep – Episodes 6 and 7

We’re back for the fourth week for GeekOut Plays Stonekeep. My day job meant that I had to push the date for these videos back ’til today, so really sorry for the delay! We’ll be back on our usual schedule this week as well as some great Halloween themed posts and even a horror themed video. Also, I’m going to be doing a somewhat drunken stream with our good friend Kim from 1001Up on Halloween itself. I will be in costume. What costume? Check it out tomorrow!

Episode 6 – Let’s Speed This Up!

In this stunning episode of GeekOut Plays Stonekeep:

  • I realise I accidentally ruined all of the audio files.
  • I am introduced to editing a video more than just cutting and putting voices over it.
  • I use free music – Thanks to Kevin MacLeod!
  • I speed a lot of sections up.
  • I get annoyed at snakes.
  • More rocks.
  • More Shargas.
  • Things happen!
  • Also we see Wahooka again and he’s become the official thumbnail for this Let’s Play series. Hurrah!

Stonekeep Ep 6

Episode 7 – You’ve gone Farli ‘Nuff

This time on GeekOut Plays Stonekeep:

  • Still no sound – Except for my stunning vocals!
  • We see more of The Great Wahooka!
  • I introduce a new sound effect.
  • I nearly die!
  • I’m stayin’ alive however!
  • I complete the floor…
  • … And I get my first companion, Farli!

Stonekeep Ep 7

If you’ve listened to my ramblings now, thank you very much. These episodes are great fun to put together. Sorry I lost all of the in-game audio, but hopefully my editing more than made up for the lack of sounds. Huge thanks to the amazingly talented Kevin MacLeod who puts all of his songs up for free use, the only rule being that you put the license information in the description of your video. So, since he was so good there… Here’s the licences for the songs used:

As always, leave your comments below, over on Facebook and Twitter. Let me know what you think of the series so far. Are you enjoying my new thumbnails of the Great Wahooka? Let me know your thoughts and opinions as always. Next week, I’ll see if I can deliver some Halloween/spooky videos, too!

  1. Shame about the audio, but nice editing, music choices and narration meant it was hardly an issue. :)

That gem, though. Maybe it’s invisible in game, and only shows up on recordings? :P

    • Who knows – but I am gonna record the next two parts tonight and get it. Will let you know what Wahooka does :P

Also, I might record more and edit more… I have seen JUST how long the game is now ._.
