POP! Vinyl

After all of this time, I’ve put my money where my mouth is and I’ve found the perfect little geek figurine to go with my Chibi Qubeley.

Meet Ajani Goldmane, the albino Nacatl. One of the original Planeswalkers, Ajani has been around the block and he has battled the best of them. As well as this, he was the first ever mythic card I ever got my hands on. An asset in any healing deck, Ajani Goldmane helped me through a lot of my early days of Magic: the Gathering. It felt right that my first ever POP! Vinyl figurine was going to be something like Ajani.

If your shelves are in need of some figurine love, which most geeks are, then you might want to consider the impressive selection of characters in the POP! Vinyl range. Heck, I am somewhat tempted to go and make an Ajani costume, but that’s a story for another day. If you’re in the UK and want to see a selection of these awesome characters, you can tend to find sellers over at their own stalls in conventions, or over at Forbidden Planet. I was spoilt for choice, from Marvel and DC characters to Magic: the Gathering, Game of Thrones and much more.

Pop Vinyl Madness

POP! Vinyl are made by Funko, where they make figurines for all sorts of pop culture. They take a sort of “Chibi” style, by making a nicely detailed character with a much larger head than a normal figure would have. I’ve been fascinated by the POP! Vinyl‘s for quite some time, but now I’ve actually made that step away from just being fascinated to having my very first ever one… Next up on my list:

Nicol Bolas

What POP! Vinyl figure would you buy? Have you ever seen these figures before? Do figures interest you, or are they just pointless clutter? As always, comments below, on Facebook or Twitter to carry on the conversation!

  1. Aww I hadn’t seen the Bolas figure before, he’s worryingly cute! He’s seasonal too. I mean, that is an easter egg between his horns, right? I always think of it as his easter egg ;)

I’ve been quite admiring Funko’s more realistic Legacy collection MtG figures too. They’re quite well done but I haven’t succumbed. I buy plenty enough Transformers without starting on any other figure lines. That said I’d possibly make an exception for my favourite planeswalker Tezzeret. They don’t do a Tezzeret, do they? Actually don’t tell me!
